Replacing Blight with Quality Housing

Harmony Neighborhood Development (formerly New Orleans Neighborhood Development Collaborative) used its $305,000 loan from DRFUS to demolish and rebuild two blighted houses from the 2400 block of Magnolia Street in Central City New Orleans. One of the homes, pictured here, was rebuilt as a two-story, three bedroom, two and a half bath house. The second home is a one-story, three bedroom and two bath house across the street. Harmony recently purchased the last blighted house on the block, and once this house is reconstructed, the block will be fully restored and occupied.
