On August 1, 2014 The Isaiah Fund was taken over by a new management team. The new management team has a proven track record in the CDFI industry, after creating and managing The Disability Opportunity Fund (DOF) for the past seven years. DOF is the first and only CDFI focused on providing affordable housing and community facilities to low-income individuals with disabilities. The management team also has been active in providing disaster recovery assistance for individuals with disabilities and their families who were impacted by Superstorm Sandy in New York. Under The Isaiah Fund, the team will now be able to expand its response efforts to all Survivors of Sandy. DRFUS will continue to focus on disaster response and recovery, focusing first on Katrina survivors and Sandy survivors, and then expanding its footprint to operate nationwide.
